Black & White issue #0

This wasn’t how this was supposed to go – but i’m making the most of a bad situation here which I hope people will appreciate and understand!

Issue 1 of Black & White went to the printers on Tuesday. Sadly though it was without the 2012/13 season preview piece I’d been hoping to publish. When I first put consideration towards putting a fanzine out, it was as a one-off release, taking inspiration from this copy of No More Pie In The Sky from 1995.

Over time the plans changed, but I’d still wanted to use the season preview as the main feature in the first release.

Sadly though, two of the previews I received back from supporters didn’t get to me in time for the print deadline, and I wasn’t happy releasing an unfinished piece. So I’ve used the content instead to release issue #0 as an online “taster” of what’s to come from Black & White this season.

Apologies to those who contributed who I said I’d get in print – that obviously hasn’t happened but if you’re all happy to, I’ll work with you all during the season to get you in future issues?

In the meantime, sincere thank yous to all of these supporters who have helped with the season preview – in no particular of order of how much I like their club (in 22 of 23 cases): Stuart Tarrant, Smiffy, James Bentley, John McGee, Dave Burch, Neil Allison, Jay Baldwin, Ben Barrett, Matt Withers, Jason Derrick, John Mason, Andy Brown, Jason Hammon, Craig Worswick, Benedict West, Carl Matthews, Max Bell, Ian Rands, Andrew Harding, Daniel Speller, Bescot Banter & Sam Robinson.

Going back to issue 1 though – and as I say that’s with the printers currently (we have had the first 50 back for subscribers) and will be heading out to those who have pre-ordered (currently 46 paid subscribers) HOPEFULLY before we all set off for Crewe on Saturday.
